Hi,
ReplyDeleteMy name is Shirlin S, I'm a Kean@Ocean biology major. I just turned 20. I'm a junior and NJ STARS 11 student. I took this class because it was a requirement and I wasn't enthusiastic about this class but after reading the first three chapters I felt that this would be the most important class I've ever taken in my life and one that it would be very usefull in real life.
Here is my video, I wanted to include Hillary Clinton's 2008 DNC speech, but they were soo long so I'm including a speech Beau Biden gave at the 2008 DNC.

Hello, My name is Eunice Santiago. I am a registered nurse, employed with the State of NJ working with one of the most difficult group of patients; adolescents with emotional, behavioral, mental, etc needs. To work with this group is indeed a different type of nursing and one must truly leave all sterotpyes, ethnocentric bias in the parkinglot. I am a very bust lady since I also work part time as a case manager with a local Hospice and work at one of the nursing homes in my area. I am slowly working towards my BSN and will later go on in my stuides to achieve a MSN which is my goal in life. Nevertheless, before I decided to pursue nursing as a career I was an accountant for 13 years. The change from accountant to nurse was a giant step for me because it was truly something new. I loved being an accountant, however after being layed off from two major businesses, I said enough is enough! I am not married and unfortunately I do not have children. Nonetheless, an part of a very large family with great siblings and a host of wonderful nieces and nephews all of whom I am proud of. Since my primary job responsibilities is toeducate patients/families as well as the staff I am taking public speaking so that I may become a better presenter with verbage as well as references.
ReplyDeleteMy name is Danielle Kiewra. I'm having a hard time logging in this blog because there are problems with my google, cookies and everything else. This is my 4th time re-writing this same blog so excuse the shortness. I am 24 years old. I am a Kean@OCC student majoring in english and education. I live in Brick with my parents and two brothers. I have two cats. I enjoy reading, music, drawing, people watching, surfing, snowboarding, the beach, hiking, walking and a lot of other stuff.
ReplyDeleteHello, my name is MattS and I am a Secondary English major. Having previously completed my associate degree from OCC, I am now in the midst of my second semester here at Kean@Ocean. I am a proud recipient of the STARS scholarship and, though I have exerted effort and attention at varying levels to satisfy that which has been demanded of me, I consider myself privileged to be attending any class at all. There is certainly something to be learned from any course, or at least, any instructor. Considering my prior completion of a public speaking class with OCC, I am confident that this course can only serve to enforce the finer points of public speaking. I am eager to discern that which will distinguish this class from the last and anticipate a further accumulation of valuable experiences with the art they call public speaking. Some ancillary biographical points that may help to insure any remembrance of my character may be my tendency to don a black cape and engage in heroic acts of nocturnal vigilanteism, but seriously, I enjoy music and deliver Chinese food.
ReplyDeleteMy name is Tara C. I am a new to Kean, I just transferred from a Coastal Carolina University in Myrtle Beach. I am from Point Pleasant and I work at Jenks at a manager. I am a communications major and hope to work in Corporate Communication someday. I am hoping this class will help me improve my public speaking skills and enable to do presentations more effectively.
